Guitar class at DKDM is a very active class .
The goal is to educate guitarists to absolute highest artistic and technical level . The goal is also to educate contemporary musicians and educators.

Principle subject :
In principle subject we dive deeply into both the small and large details. Continue to work until the various works appears fully empathetic . We are working to raise the awareness of what has to be done before a piece of music is at top level .
We work with different styles . A cultured musician must have been around in the repertoire and know about different interpretations.
They should be open to new currents , being curious about new works and cooperation across music styles.

Chamber music and accompagnement :
We put the utmost attention to chamber music and accompaniment.
We put together and propose , but also encourages students themselves to create groups and organize concerts out of the house .
Having a very active cooperation with singing department.
The advanced postgraduate diploma programme can be applied for in chamber music e.g. guitar duo.

Joint lessons:
We have approximately around 20 two hours joint lessons a year. Teaching is often in master class form , but students will be involved with comment and discussion. an important issue here is also the vihuela , baroque guitar and lute repertoire . As well as the works of a particular composer , an important study collection , but also issues such as nervousness , charisma , how to introduce a work facing the audience .
Guest teachers are invited in flamenco, improvisation and South American music.

Masterclass :
We endeavor to hold at least three master classes with international guitarists each year.
We work with Danish Guitar Society and International Guitar Festival Aarhus and Copenhagen New Guitar Festival.

The guitar class has a high level of activity, with master classes and 2-3 visits by international guest teachers every year.
